I like that! The first three panels (and the rest of the comic) look like flat rock carvings and then the value makes panel four pop out like a statue.
Thank you! I purposefully go for a flat look most of the time throughout the comic.
Gotta say, I’m liking the flat style too. All the straight lines. Kinda reminds me of The Secret of Kells! I love when visual style supports the content of the story. :)
Thanks Nilah! The Secret of Kells has been a huge influence on my art the past year or so and really made me think more about character design and color.
