Chapter 8 | Page 7

Kids and their questions.

Look I have another Kickstarter! Alana Joli Abbot is a frequent commenter and long time TMK reader, and she turned me on to her own Kickstarter last week. She’s raising funds to get the last book of her trilogy published and out there into the world. I haven’t read any of the other books in the trilogy but I’m always open to new stories, and my Kindle is probably whining for new content, the baby. Check it out!

Thanks for reading! See you next week!

(Also sorry if the text is a tad small on this page.)

  1. I love how bright the sunlight is–very different from the light in the parts in Northern Europe, even the sunny scenes. :)

    • Thanks! Playing around with the lighting can be an especially fun part of making the comic and moving from place to place. :D

  2. Great page. Ibrahim is so cute. (And what a cool name, might I add.)

    • Thank you! It’s a good, classic name. :D

  3. So wait, she’s not the mother of the children? I had assumed she was based on her arrival last comic. Who is this Mystery Woman?

“It’s true that I’ve nearly memorized several stories. Comes from living around these kids and needing to have something at a moment’s notice.”

    • Haha! Yeah Ibrahim needs lots of stories ready at a moment’s notice!

  4. Thank you so much for spreading the word!

Also, I totally expected that woman to be their mother, so I’m surprised she’s not. :)

    • You’re welcome! And she’s Ibrahim’s mother, but she’s not Harun and Arezou’s mother.

  5. So many books :)

    • Ibrahim likes to read a lot!

  6. Oh! I just noticed the little paper fan he made, I used to make those all the time!

It’s the little touches like that the really give the characters their personalities–make a fan out of what’s handy instead of having a fan or using his hand :)

    • Hahaha well actually he’s just tapping papers, but I can see why you’d think it’s a fan. Oh well, I’m sure the kids could have made it. XD Thanks!

  7. I am back once again to say your still doing a great job Miss Sarah!

    • Yay! Thank you so much. :3
